Our medical mission allows students and faculty to travel to hospitals, eldercare facilities, long-term care facilities, and rehabilitation clinics in Latin America where we provide physical therapy services to under-served populations. There, we are able to administer individualized screenings, evaluations, skilled treatments, and other services to patients who do not have adequate access to necessary medical care. We also emphasize caregiver and patient education as integral parts of this mission, ensuring that our vision provides a lasting impact on the communities we serve.

Our Build and Grow events are multi-faceted events that bring together ALL members of the community: families, healthcare providers, policy makers, legislators, local businesses, civic organizations, volunteer groups, and corporate partners. During the event, participants share information, build sustainable plans, and build vehicles for children to “drive home” that day.

“Go-Baby-Go is an unbelievably rewarding program as a student. For a few hours, you are able to participate in the challenge of building and customizing a car for a child who may never have experienced that level of independence before. These cars enable children at all levels to move about and play freely as well as explore the world around them in new ways. Mobility is something so many of us take for granted, so to be able to help these children become more mobile is an unforgettable and extremely humbling experience.”2023 Guatemala Photos
