Many students with an interest in pursuing a degree in a specific business-related field, such as information technology, are aware of the fact that broader business issues \u2013 economics, finance, and marketing \u2013 are driving many business decisions. In addition, many MBA students recognize the advantages of an industry-specific degree. In response, Marymount offers a dual degree<\/span> <\/span>program<\/span><\/span> geared for IT professionals<\/span><\/span>: <\/span>the MBA<\/span><\/span> and MS in I<\/span>nformation Technology<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n With the IT field becoming progressively more critical to the success of a business, managers are increasingly expected to have <\/span><\/span>both technical training and business expertise<\/span><\/span>.<\/span> This MBA in technology management <\/span><\/span>program allows a student to gain the credentials necessary for roles requiring a blend of business and IT <\/span><\/span>knowledge and<\/span><\/span> skills, such as senior business analyst or chief information officer. Students will be prepared for oversight in today\u2019s IT industry \u2013 from data analytics and IT project management to information systems strategy, with an emphasis on risk management, systems analysis and overall design. \nIndividuals interested in this dual degree program are encouraged to enroll in it when first applying to the University. The requirements for both programs must be met in order to be admitted into the dual degree program. However, students can apply to enroll in the dual program after they have already begun their studies in either the MBA or MS in Information Technology. The Office of Graduate Enrollment Services will assist students with application procedures.<\/p>\n
