In addition, qualified students may apply for an accelerated <a href=\"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/academics\/college-of-health-and-education\/school-of-health-sciences\/undergraduate-programs\/health-sciences\/combined-b-s-to-m-s-in-health-education-and-prom\/\">B.S. to M.S. program in Public Health Education and Promotion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h2>Students choose from four areas of emphasis:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a (B.S.)\u00a0 in Marymount\u2019s health sciences programs are prepared to apply for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exercise Physiologist or Personal Trainer certifications by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acsm.org\/\">American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)<\/a>, or the<\/li>\n<li>Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nchec.org\/\">National Commission for Health Education Credentialing.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upon successful completion of the Health Sciences program, students will be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>demonstrate the knowledge required to function as competent entry-level professionals in the health\/fitness industry;<\/li>\n<li>demonstrate competence in using equipment, industry tools\/inventories, and\/or other practical &#8220;hands-on&#8221; applications typically used in health and wellness settings and\/or clinical settings;<\/li>\n<li>demonstrate the ability to effectively educate and\/or counsel individuals regarding behavior modification for the promotion of health and wellness;<\/li>\n<li>apply ethical standards to the conduct of health and wellness
