Students can focus on one or more of the following IT specialized areas by applying for the embedded minor or by completing five higher-level IT courses.<\/p>\n

Applied Statistics Minor<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor is for students interested in developing highly marketable skills in statistical analysis. <\/p>\n

Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Minor<\/a>
\n<\/strong>This minor is for those in technical majors (Information Technology, Computer Science or Cybersecurity) who wish to explore artificial intelligence techniques, from both a technology perspective (hardware and software) and from an ethical perspective, including especially the concept of trustworthy systems of value to society.<\/p>\n

Business Analysis Minor<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor provides students with the specialized knowledge to analyze business processes and improve them through digital transformation. <\/p>\n

Cloud Computing Minor<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor provides students with the specialized knowledge to support technology implementation on cloud infrastructures, including architecting, developing, and managing systems. <\/p>\n

Computer Science Minor<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor is for students who plan to be software developers and design and build modern software products. <\/p>\n

Cybersecurity Minor<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor is designed for students who wish to work in the growing field of cybersecurity, other than in network security. <\/p>\n

Data Science Minor<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor provides students with the specialized knowledge in the fast-growing field of data science and artificial intelligence. <\/p>\n

Digital Forensics Minor<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor is for students who wish to investigate digital incidents, both corporate and criminal, and prepare digital evidence increasingly used in courts of law. <\/p>\n

Information Technology Minor<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor is open to students pursuing a degree other than the B.S. in Information Technology<\/a> and provides students with a general understanding of the information technology field including computer hardware and networks, information security, database management, and Java software development.<\/p>\n

Network Security Minor<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor provides students with specialized knowledge and skills to work in the administration and security of complex computer networks. <\/p>\n

In addition to these IT minors, students may elect another minor offered by the School of Business, including:<\/p>\n
