{"id":4816,"date":"2020-11-18T20:28:36","date_gmt":"2020-11-18T20:28:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/developmenttwo.marymount.edu\/academics\/?page_id=4816"},"modified":"2023-10-26T11:52:56","modified_gmt":"2023-10-26T15:52:56","slug":"no-show-student-absences","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/academics\/access-belonging-and-culture\/student-access-services\/deaf-hard-of-hearing-protocol-policy\/no-show-student-absences\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cNo Show\u201d Student Absences"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cNo-Shows\u201d refer to occurrences when students <u>do not report to class<\/u> and <u>do not cancel interpreting services<\/u> in advance of their absence with a reasonable excuse (e.g. sickness).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Students are allowed 2 \u201cNo-Shows\u201d per semester.<\/li>\n<li>On the third \u201cNo-Show,\u201d students may have interpreting services suspended.<\/li>\n<li>Students may be required to meet with SAS before interpreting services are restored.\u00a0 During this meeting students should be prepared to explain the reason for the \u201cNo-Shows.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Students are required to inform SAS when communication access services are no longer needed.<\/li>\n<li>When students drop or withdraw enrollment from a course, they are required to inform SAS as soon as possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To avoid a \u201cNo-Show\u201d please immediately notify SAS with the following information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student\u2019s first and last name<\/li>\n<li>Student ID<\/li>\n<li>Course name in which attendance will be missed<\/li>\n<li>Day, date, and time of class or academic program or event (e.g. Monday, March 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 8-8:50 AM)<\/li>\n<li>Reason for the absence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cNo-Shows\u201d refer to occurrences when students do not report to class and do not cancel interpreting services in advance of their absence with a reasonable excuse (e.g. sickness).
