The PT-EAP is open to a select group of first-year, transfer and current students who are chosen by the Physical Therapy Admissions Committee. Successful applicants will have a guaranteed seat, provided they maintain all requirements for continuation in the Program, earn a bachelor\u2019s degree from Marymount University, and complete an application in PTCAS by the deadline.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Open for Applications: September 1, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: February 1, 2027<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>To be eligible for the program, an incoming first-year student must have:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher<\/li>\n<li>3 years of high school science (chemistry, biology, and physics preferred)<\/li>\n<li>2-3 years of high school mathematics and\/or statistics<\/li>\n<li>4 years of high school English<\/li>\n<li>Completed the essay portion of the PT-EAP application addressing their interest in the field of physical therapy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"standard-button\" href=\"https:\/\/info.marymount.edu\/apply-to-marymount\/\">Apply to Marymount as a first-year student!<\/a><\/div>\n<h3>To be eligible for the program, a transfer student must have:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>No more than 60 credits transferred into Marymount University\u2019s undergraduate degree plan<\/li>\n<li>A cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher in all previous\/existing undergraduate coursework<\/li>\n<li>An average GPA of 3.5 or higher in all science coursework<\/li>\n<li>Completed the essay portion of the PT-EAP application addressing their interest in the field of physical therapy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"standard-button\" href=\"https:\/\/info.marymount.edu\/apply-to-marymount\/\">Apply to Marymount as a transfer student!<\/a><\/div>\n<h3>To be eligible for the program, a current student must have:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed at least 30 credits as an undergraduate at Marymount University prior to their senior year at Marymount University<\/li>\n<li>A cumulative overall GPA of 3.5 or higher<\/li>\n<li>An average GPA of 3.5 or higher in all science coursework<\/li>\n<li>Completed the essay portion of the PT-EAP application addressing their interest in the field of physical therapy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"standard-button\" href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/r\/VcG64jgQ1c\">Apply as a current student!<\/a><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>To continue in the program, a student must:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or higher<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a prerequisite GPA of 3.5 or higher<\/li>\n<li>Complete the Physical Therapy Centralized Application System (PTCAS) online application in the fall of the senior year by Marymount University\u2019s Doctor of Physical Therapy established application deadline. The application must be identified as COMPLETE by PTCAS and will be used to ensure that all criteria are met (e.g., transcripts and letters of recommendation must be sent to PTCAS per its instructions).<\/li>\n<li>Have no more than two prerequisite courses outstanding in the fall of their senior year.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate active involvement in the greater Marymount community<\/li>\n<li>Complete 40 hours of observation or volunteer service work in a physical therapy clinical setting, verified by a physical therapist from the clinical setting per the requirements identified in PTCAS. These hours may be completed at more than one clinical facility.<\/li>\n<li>Obtain two letters of recommendation, one from a faculty member in the student\u2019s academic major and one from a physical therapist and upload both per the requirements identified in PTCAS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information, please contact <a href=\"mailto: pt@marymount.edu\">pt@marymount.edu.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A student may withdraw from PT-EAP at any time by emailing the PT-EAP faculty liaison.
