This includes individuals who assisted with the compilation of a research manuscript, but who did not meet the full <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icmje.org\/recommendations\/browse\/roles-and-responsibilities\/defining-the-role-of-authors-and-contributors.html\">ICMJE criteria<\/a> for authorship. Authors should also acknowledge the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Any agency, including MU, who provided funds supporting the work;<\/li>\n<li>Core facilities or specific resources, if acknowledgment is recommended;<\/li>\n<li>Tools, code, or other resources, if acknowledgement is recommended;<\/li>\n<li>Individuals with whom you had important discussions or who provided advice that substantially affected the outcome of the research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Recommended Language for Acknowledging MU<\/h2>\n<p>When using resources from Marymount University or ORDES for the creation of an academic manuscript or product, we recommend authors use the following language to acknowledge the university support.<\/p>\n<h3>Marymount University:<\/h3>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\">\u201cThis research was supported by Marymount University [and the Department\/School\/Center\/Core] through institutional resources and the commitment of its faculty and staff to advancing scholarship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\">OR<\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\">\u201cThis research was supported in part by resources provided by Marymount University\u2019s [Department\/School\/Center\/Core]\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>ORDES:<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cThe authors thank [optional: <em>name of staff member<\/em> and the] Office of Research Development, Education, and Support (ORDES) at Marymount University for providing [editing\/feedback\/proofreading\/formatting] assistance on this manuscript.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who Should Be Acknowledged?
