The process of being enrolled in classes outside of Marymount University is called Concurrent Enrollment. <\/strong>If you plan to enroll in a course at a different institution, such as Northern Virginia Community College, there are a few steps you will need to complete to ensure that your academic record and immigration record are maintained.<\/p>\n If the course is being offered by a neighboring institution (including Northern Virginia Community College – NVCC\/NOVA), you should consult any posted articulations<\/em> with those institutions, which can be found on the Registrar\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n If a Marymount University student wants to take a course at any school other than Marymount University and transfer the course back to Marymount for credit, they must take the following steps.<\/strong><\/p>\n Once you have provided the required documentation, ISSS will issue you a Concurrent Enrollment Letter, giving you permission to enroll at the other institution. You must submit a Concurrent Enrollment Letter request via the ISSS portal even if your other school does not ask you for it.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 1.\u00a0 After you register for your course(s) at the other institution, upload a copy of that registration\u00a0(such as your course enrollment schedule) to the ISSS portal.\u00a0This is required so that ISSS can verify your full-time enrollment and maintain your F-1 status.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n 2. Once you complete\u00a0the course at the other institution:<\/p>\n AND<\/strong><\/i><\/p>\n After you enroll at the other institution, upload a copy of that registration (such as your course enrollment schedule) to the ISSS portal.
