The University offers a low-cost <a class=\"pjax\" title=\"student health insurance plan\" href=\"\/Student-Life\/Health-Wellness\/Student-Health-Center\/Insurance-Waivers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">student health insurance plan<\/a> for undergraduate and graduate students. All full-time registered <strong>students will <em>automatically<\/em> be charged the premium for this insurance plan <\/strong>on their Student Accounts bill.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">Health insurance coverage requirements:<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">A student who has their third party insurance or one provided by their sponsor should make sure that they have the following minimum coverage in the Arlington, VA area:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">Access to local doctors, specialists, hospitals, and other health care providers in emergency and non-emergency situations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">Coverage for inpatient and outpatient hospitalization<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">Coverage for lab work, diagnostic x-rays, physical therapy and chiropractic care, emergency room treatment, ambulance services, and prescription coverage<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">Coverage for inpatient and outpatient mental health, substance abuse, and counseling services<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-speechify-sentence=\"\">Health Insurance Waiver:<\/h3>\n<p data-speechify-sentence=\"\">If you already have adequate medical insurance coverage and do not require the insurance coverage offered through Marymount\u2019s plan, please complete the online <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallagherstudent.com\/students\/student-home.php?idField=1423&amp;KosterWebSID=v2brao6pk0ajr3o4ngc9vpg620\">waiver form<\/a> (within the Student Access menu, select Student Waive\/Enroll).
