Marymount requires<\/strong> all undergraduate students taking 12 or more credits and graduate students taking 9 or more credits to have health insurance. The University offers a low-cost student health insurance plan<\/a> for undergraduate and graduate students. All full-time registered students will automatically<\/em> be charged the premium for this insurance plan <\/strong>on their Student Accounts bill. (Note: insurance does not continue once the student is no longer enrolled full-time at Marymount.)<\/p>\n A student who has their third party insurance or one provided by their sponsor should make sure that they have the following minimum coverage in the Arlington, VA area:<\/span><\/p>\n If you already have adequate medical insurance coverage and do not require the insurance coverage offered through Marymount\u2019s plan, please complete the online waiver form<\/a> (within the Student Access menu, select Student Waive\/Enroll). Once your waiver is approved by the Student Health Center, your student account will be credited. Your request for a waiver must be submitted to the Student Health Center at the beginning of each academic year <\/em>before the stated deadline.\u00a0 <\/strong>Otherwise, Marymount will automatically charge you for its insurance plan.<\/p>\nHealth insurance coverage requirements:<\/span><\/h3>\n
