Some universities have graduate student associations that facilitate peer support and lobby on students\u2019 behalf.<\/li>\n<li>Befriend your librarians. They can make your life as a researcher so much easier. Universities often have institutional subscriptions to online bibliographic management programs\u2014at Marymount, <a href=\"https:\/\/marymount.libguides.com\/c.php?g=1067705&amp;p=10507286\">EndNote, Zotero, or Mendeley<\/a>\u00a0\u2014that save useful citations for multiple bibliographies.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare for your career as intensely as you prepared for graduate school. Hone your writing and presentation skills. Learn how to organize your work and your time. Seek out opportunities \u2013\u00a0<a title=\"Download link for advice.pdf\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marymount.edu\/marymount.edu\/media\/Academic_media\/advice.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">advice.pdf<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>to present\u2014on campus, in the community, and at conferences.<\/li>\n<li>to publish \u2014everywhere.
