I applied for the Spirit of Service scholarship before my freshman year and they were gracious enough to accept me. Working with the Saints Center for Service has been great, and I\u2019ve done a couple of different service opportunities with the Honors Program as well. Most of the service I perform, though, is up in Montgomery County, Md.<\/p>\n

Roey Stern<\/h2>\n

I\u2019m originally from Tel Aviv, Israel. I served in the military, which is mandatory for Israeli citizens. After I was discharged, I flew to Arizona where I have family and I started my recruiting process. Prior to that, I emailed Coach Rogers from the Marymount basketball team and he wanted me to come visit. I had some other offers from schools on the East Coast, so I flew over here and stayed about a week \u2013 traveled to New York, Connecticut and eventually ended up at Marymount.<\/p>\n

Isaiah Cureton<\/h2>\n

Isaiah Cureton is a man on a mission, set to walk with his class of 2017 having earned his bachelor\u2019s degree in business administration in only three years. During that time, he explored study abroad in five programs, served as an SGA Senator, helped found the MU Hockey Club and worked full time his senior year on Capitol Hill in the office of a U.S. senator while taking a full load of classes.<\/p>\n

Alyson Mcnair<\/h2>\n

I initially started my career with a degree in political science and worked as a staffer on Capitol Hill before landing a job for a local defense contracting company. In 2019, I decided to switch gears. That year, I founded my nonprofit Perfect, Inc., and decided to further my education. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to be a part of the fashion industry. Marymount was the only school in the area that offered a dual degree pathway for me to earn an M.B.A. and a bachelor\u2019s in Fashion Merchandising \u2013 that\u2019s what sealed the deal for me!<\/p>\n

Susan Lacz<\/h2>\n

Marymount alum Susan Lacz came to Arlington from New Jersey in the late 1970s to attend college. She never left the area. Today, CEO of Bethesda-based Ridgewells Catering, Susan serves on the MU board of trustees and is chairing the most ambitious capital campaign in the 67 year history of her alma mater.<\/p>\n
