Accessing the Library<\/span><\/h2>\n

Marymount University Reinsch Library is open to the public on a limited basis, as described on this page. Alumni, Arlington residents, members and affiliates of the WRLC, and students of Marymount\u2019s Catholic high school partners are all eligible to borrow items from Marymount\u2019s physical collection. Community patrons may use library facilities and resources for research purposes, but may not operate businesses using library facilities or resources, and may not solicit donations or signatures within the library.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before your visit, please check our hours of operation<\/a>. Please note, after 5pm, the library is open to currently enrolled students, staff, and faculty only.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alumni Borrowers\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Library & Learning Services is pleased to provide Marymount alumni with lifetime borrowing privileges; on-site access to databases, e-journals, and reference materials; as well as many other benefits at no cost to you. In order to borrow material, you need to verify your alumni status by contacting us at <\/span>mucirc@marymount.edu<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 The library closes to Alumni at 5 pm. After that time, access is restricted to current Marymount students, faculty, and staff only.<\/span><\/p>\n

Washington Research Library Consortium (WRLC) Members and Affiliates<\/span><\/h3>\n

Members and affiliates<\/a> of the WRLC are welcome to visit the library; note that an appointment is required in order to visit after 5pm. Appointments can be scheduled online <\/span>here<\/span><\/a>. All appointments will be confirmed by Circulation staff via email. Please be sure to bring your university or affiliate organization ID with you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Community Members<\/span><\/h3>\n

Reinsch Library on Marymount\u2019s main campus welcomes members of the local community. Visitors have access to the library\u2019s physical collections, public use computers, and work spaces. In addition, access to databases, e-journals, and reference materials are also available for community use onsite only. The library closes to members of the community at 5 pm. After that time, access is restricted to Marymount students, faculty, and staff only, with the exception of WRLC patrons or affiliates who have an appointment.<\/p>\n

Library visitors in the following categories are eligible to apply for an account:<\/span><\/h2>\n

Arlington Borrowers<\/span><\/h3>\n

Residents of Arlington County may establish an Arlington Borrowers account by completing an application and providing photo identification with proof of residency. There is no charge for an Arlington Borrowers card. Borrowers must be at least 18 years of age.<\/span><\/p>\n

Catholic High School Borrowers<\/span><\/h3>\n

Students currently enrolled at Bishop Ireton High School or Bishop O\u2019Connell High School may obtain a Catholic High School Borrowers card by completing an application and presenting school photo identification. There is no charge for a Catholic High School Borrowers card.<\/span><\/p>\n

Special Borrowers<\/span><\/h3>\n

Residents of the local area who live outside Arlington County may obtain a Special Borrowers card by completing an application form and providing photo identification with proof of address. The cost of the card will be $75 per year or a one-time fee of $200.<\/span><\/p>\n
