Now Enrolling for 2026!<\/h2>\n

At the Marymount Early Learning Academy (ELA), your child will receive an innovative educational experience designed by the Marymount University\u00a0School of Education<\/a> faculty. Our well-trained preschool teachers provide a personalized educational enrichment opportunity based on the unique strengths and abilities of your child. In our brand new secure state-of-the-art Early Learning Academy facility, your child\u2019s curiosity and creativity will be encouraged through a robust curriculum of developmentally appropriate play and hands-on learning.<\/p>\n

The Early Learning Academy enrolls preschoolers ages 2.5 – 5. The ELA is open year round M-F from 8 am \u2013 6 pm. The maximum school day for each child is 9 hours.<\/p>\n

Due to high demand and limited availability, we encourage early applications.<\/span><\/h2>\n

At Marymount\u2019s Early Learning Academy, preschoolers have special access to a treasure trove of enriching campus-wide opportunities and educational resources at our nationally ranked university. Children learn through play. Our teachers and staff engage preschoolers in creative and cooperative play, including outdoor activities, art projects, STEAM, and literacy, with social skills and independence stressed throughout the day. On-site benefits include a brand new state-of-the-art playground and classrooms, as well as full use of all the University\u2019s resources, including our gymnasium, gardens, and library.<\/p>\n

Envisioned as a \u201clab school,\u201d the Early Learning Academy benefits from evidence-based research and educational practices from Marymount\u2019s faculty experts across campus in areas such as\u00a0psychology<\/a>,\u00a0health sciences<\/a>,\u00a0nursing<\/a>,\u00a0counseling<\/a>, and, of course,\u00a0education<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Guided by best practices in child development, the ELA provides an innovative, dynamic, play-based, safe environment where young minds reach their full potential in a diverse and engaging university setting. The ELA creates diverse educational opportunities through hands-on and play-based learning to meet the needs and interests of all children, and support kindergarten readiness. We provide educational experiences that foster cognitive, emotional, physical, and social, and intellectual growth in a caring and secure learning environment, infusing available campus resources to support and explore literacy\/language, STEAM, the arts, music, movement, and nature.<\/p>\n

Outdoor play and access to nature are key elements of our program, and we are thrilled to announce that The National Wildlife Federation (NWF)<\/a> has recognized Marymount University\u2019s Early Learning Academy (ELA) for successfully creating a Certified Schoolyard Habitat<\/a>, demonstrating the University\u2019s commitment to environmental stewardship and hands-on learning.<\/p>\n

In addition to our classrooms and outdoor learning spaces, students also benefit from visits to our new STEAM Lab.<\/a><\/p>\n

In addition to collaborating with experts in education, your preschooler will have an opportunity to meet and learn from a thriving and diverse educational community of students and faculty, including athletes, artists, nurses, poets, mathematicians, scientists, writers, and beyond!<\/p>\n

Parents are an important part of the Early Learning Academy community as well. Family seminars, teacher-parent conversations, and opportunities to learn and socialize together with other families are available in an innovative lab school environment to promote continuous intellectual, social and emotional growth and improvement.<\/p>\n
