Eligibility for Transfer Credit<\/b><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p3\">Marymount will consider transfer credit for graduate-level or leveling coursework completed at <span class=\"s2\"><b>Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA)<\/b><\/span>, <span class=\"s2\"><b>Montgomery College (MC)<\/b><\/span>, or other <span class=\"s2\"><b>accredited institutions of higher education<\/b><\/span>, following the <span class=\"s2\"><b>Transfer Credit Policies<\/b><\/span> in the current <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marymount.edu\/Catalogs\">Graduate Catalog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Transfer credit may be granted for coursework equivalent to the Marymount courses listed below. To qualify, students must have earned a <span class=\"s2\"><b>grade of B or higher<\/b><\/span> in the equivalent course and, for most design courses, submit a <span class=\"s2\"><b>placement portfolio<\/b><\/span> demonstrating required competencies.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Placement Portfolio Requirement<\/h2>\n<p>A <strong>placement portfolio<\/strong> is required for any student seeking transfer credit for design studio or visual communication courses.<\/p>\n<p>This portfolio allows the department to assess your preparation and determine appropriate placement within Marymount\u2019s design curriculum.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your portfolio should include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Representative work from previous design coursework.<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of design process and final presentation materials.<\/li>\n<li>Drawings, renderings, and models that demonstrate the specific skills described for each course below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>(See course-specific portfolio expectations in Section 5 below.)<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>3. How to Submit Your Portfolio<\/h2>\n<p>All portfolios must be submitted <strong>digitally<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Upload your materials<\/strong> using this <a href=\"https:\/\/airtable.com\/shr9vRJCe394RBn3k\">form<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/staff-members\/jessica-bonness\/\">Email Prof. Jessica Bonness<\/a> after submission to schedule a transfer advising appointment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>4.
