A maximum of 75 credit hours from a two-year institution and an additional 9 credit hours from a four-year institution (84 credits) can be applied to a degree. Credit acceptance is at the discretion of Marymount University. For more information about current transfer policies, see the <a href=\"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/Catalogs\/?lang=en-US\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/marymount.smartcatalogiq.com\/2019-2020\/Catalogs\/Undergraduate-Catalog\/Academic-Information-and-Policies\/Transfer-Policies\">Marymount University Catalog.<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All transfer courses are subject to faculty review within the discipline of a course. This review process can take some time, so it may delay the posting of your transfer credit.<\/li>\n<li>Credit will only be awarded upon recipient of official transcripts.<\/li>\n<li>Official transcripts should be sent as early as possible so that your credit will be evaluated before orientation and course registration.<\/li>\n<li>Elective credit will be awarded as placeholder credit and will remain on your record unless or until an equivalent Marymount course has been determined.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Official transcripts from prior institutions must be sent directly from the student\u2019s previous institution(s), and <a href=\"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/academics\/services-resources\/registrar-s-office\/transfer-credit\/incoming-students\/\">credit-by-exam scores<\/a> must be sent directly from the appropriate testing agency.
