Marymount University confers degrees in May, August, and December, with one formal Commencement ceremony in May.<\/p>\n

Application Information:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In order to graduate with a degree or earn a certificate from Marymount University, you must submit a graduation application via the online graduation application in Marynet by the deadline indicated online. (Certificate students do not participate in the Commencement ceremony.) Certificate students applying after the regular deadlines should complete a\u00a0Graduation Application for Certificate Programs<\/a>. \u00a0The application initiates a degree audit. Once the audit has been completed, students will be notified in writing if they have any unresolved academic\/graduation problems or if they will not be eligible to graduate during the semester for which they have applied. The completion of a Graduation Application or participation at Commencement does not guarantee that you will graduate.<\/p>\n

For August Graduates ONLY:<\/strong>
\nGraduate students (Master\u2019s and Doctoral, with the exception of students in the doctoral programs below*), who need to take no more than nine (9) credits during the upcoming summer semester to complete their degree requirements and undergraduate students who need to take no more than nine (9) credits during the upcoming summer to complete their degree requirements may also participate in the preceding Commencement ceremony if they meet both of the following conditions:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. They complete an application for graduation by the designated deadline (Close of business – November 17, 2023 for Summer 2024 applicants).<\/li>\n
  2. The Office of the Registrar confirms\u00a0that the student needs to complete their degree requirements in the summer semester immediately following Commencement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    No exceptions or exemptions to these two conditions will be made or given.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    *Note: Students in the D.N.P., Ed.D., D.Sc., D.B.A. programs must have completed their dissertations before they may participate in a Commencement Ceremony.<\/p>\n

Late applications will be assessed a $50 late fee. Students who submit an application for Fall 2023 graduation after November 17, 2023 will not be eligible to participate in the May 2024 Commencement exercises.<\/strong><\/td>\nBeginning November 18, 2023, applications for Spring 2023 graduation are late and students must apply using the late paper application. Late applications will be assessed a $50 late fee. Students who submit an application for Spring 2023 graduation after November 17, 2023 will not be eligible to participate in the May 2024 Commencement exercises.<\/strong><\/td>\nStudents who submit an application for Summer 2024 graduation after November 17, 2023 will not be eligible to participate in the May 2024 Commencement exercises.<\/strong> If a student is applying for Summer 2024 graduation after 11\/17\/23, they must follow the Summer 2024 (Not participating in May 2024 Commencement Ceremony) deadlines.<\/td>\nBeginning February 10, 2024, applications for Summer 2024 graduation are late and students must apply using the late paper application. Late applications will be assessed a $50 late fee.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

    Please note: Students who submit their application after the published deadline may not receive their diplomas by the close of the semester, may not graduate until the next graduation date, and may not be listed in the 2024 Commencement program. Students who submit an application after November 17, 2023 will not be eligible to participate in the 2024 Commencement ceremony.<\/strong><\/p>\n
