Marymount University confers degrees in May, August, and December, with one formal Commencement ceremony in May.<\/p>\n
In order to graduate with a degree or earn a certificate from Marymount University, you must submit a graduation application via the online graduation application<\/a> by the deadline indicated online. Certificate students applying after the regular deadlines should complete a Graduation Application for Certificate Programs<\/a>. Certificate students are not eligible to participate in the Commencement ceremony.<\/p>\n The application initiates a degree audit. Once the audit has been completed, students will be notified in writing if they have any unresolved academic\/graduation problems or if they will not be eligible to graduate during the semester for which they have applied. The completion of a Graduation Application or participation at Commencement does not guarantee that you will graduate. Students with outstanding balances will not be eligible to participate in\u00a0commencement or graduate from the university.<\/p>\n For August Graduates ONLY:<\/strong> No exceptions or exemptions to these two conditions will be made or given.<\/strong><\/p>\n *Note: Students in the D.N.P., Ed.D., D.Sc., D.B.A. programs must have completed their dissertations before they may participate in a Commencement Ceremony.<\/p>\n
\nGraduate students (Master\u2019s and Doctoral, with the exception of students in the doctoral programs below*), who need to take no more than nine (9) credits during the upcoming summer semester to complete their degree requirements and undergraduate students who need to take no more than nine (9) credits during the upcoming summer to complete their degree requirements may also participate in the preceding Commencement ceremony if they meet both of the following conditions:<\/p>\n\n
