Marymount University has been a member of the CyberCorps\u00ae: Scholarship for Service (SFS) program community since 2008 and our alums are found throughout the Federal government, state governments and national labs. The grant is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), with the latest renewal funded in 2022 for five years. We are conveniently located in the Washington, DC region, close to many Federal agencies, all looking for high-quality cybersecurity talent.<\/span><\/p>\n Note: As of Fall 2026 no funds are available for additional students, existing funds will be use for students currently in the program to complete their education.<\/p>\n Dr. Diane Murphy, PI <\/span>dmurphy@marymount.edu<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n Dr. Alex Mbaziira, Co-PI\u00a0 <\/span>ambaziir@marymount.edu<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n Dr. Stephen Boyce, Mentor and Alum <\/span>sboyce@marymount.edu<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n Karly Kiefer, Grant Program Manager kkiefer@marymount.edu<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n The CyberCorps\u00ae Scholarship for Service (SFS) is a prestigious national program designed to recruit and train the next generation of young cybersecurity professionals to meet the needs of the growing cybersecurity mission for Federal, State, local, and tribal governments. This program provides full scholarships for two or three years of support for cybersecurity programs, at the undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels. In return for their scholarships, awardee must agree to work after graduation for the U.S. Government, in an approved cybersecurity position for a period equal to the length of the scholarship.<\/span><\/p>\n CyberCorpsSFS scholarships are competitively awarded and scholars receive the following:<\/span><\/p>\n Scholars are full-time on-site students and actively participate in cybersecurity education and outreach efforts in the university and our local community.<\/span><\/p>\n SFS scholars must agree to:<\/span><\/p>\n Failure to meet these obligations may result in you needing to reimburse the government for the scholarship funds you have received..<\/span><\/p>\n To be eligible for consideration for the SFS scholarship, the student must meet\u00a0<\/span>ALL<\/b>\u00a0of the following:<\/span><\/p>\n The scholarship is usually for the last two years of your program except for the combined BS\/MS when the funding may be for three years.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Marymount University has been a member of the CyberCorps\u00ae: Scholarship for Service (SFS) program community since 2008 and our alums are found throughout the Federal government, state governments and national labs.
