Students can focus on one or more of the following IT specialized areas by applying for the embedded minor or by completing five higher-level IT courses.<\/p>\n

Applied Statistics<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor is for students interested in developing highly marketable skills in statistical analysis. See

Business Analysis<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor provides students with the specialized knowledge to analyze business processes and improve them through digital transformation. See

Cloud Computing<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor provides students with the specialized knowledge to support technology implementation on cloud infrastructures, including architecting, developing, and managing systems. See

Computer Science<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor is for students who plan to be software developers and design and build modern software products. See

Cybersecurity<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor is designed for students who wish to work in the growing field of cybersecurity, other than in network security. See

Data Science<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor provides students with the specialized knowledge in the fast-growing field of data science and artificial intelligence. See

Digital Forensics<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor is for students who wish to investigate digital incidents, both corporate and criminal, and prepare digital evidence increasingly used in courts of law. See

Information Technology<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor is open to students pursuing a degree other than the
B.S. in Information Technology<\/a> and provides students with a general understanding of the information technology field including computer hardware and networks, information security, database management, and Java software development. See information technology minor<\/a> for details.<\/p>\n

Network Security<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis minor provides students with specialized knowledge and skills to work in the administration and security of complex computer networks. See

In addition to these IT minors, students may elect another minor offered by the School of Business, including:<\/p>\n
