It is designed for students who are socially minded entrepreneurs who want to develop skills in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. Students analyze social issues in today\u2019s global economy and learn how to apply business skills to address those issues, thereby fostering change. Students will be required to complete a community-based project of inquiry for their final project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Grade Requirement: <\/strong>A minimum grade of C is required in any course in the Social Entrepreneurship minor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Residency Requirement: <\/strong>Students must complete at least 12 credits of the minor requirement at Marymount.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Minor Requirements<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>21 credits<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MGT 315 Entrepreneurship<\/li>\n<li>MKT 301 Principles of Marketing<\/li>\n<li>MGT 355 Managing Social Projects<\/li>\n<li>SOC 131 Principles of Sociology in Global Perspective <u>OR<\/u> SOC 203 The Global Village<\/li>\n<li>SOC 350 Social Justice<\/li>\n<li>SOC 351 Addressing Injustice: Research Methods<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One (1) course from the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SOC 421 Project<\/li>\n<li>SOC 433 Research<\/li>\n<li>MGT 490 Internship<\/li>\n<li>MGT 499 Independent Study<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This interdisciplinary minor is open to students in any major.
