Perspective Taking

Perspective Taking is the process through which students recognize the ways in which their own perspectives and beliefs have been shaped, as well as the ability to acknowledge and respect a multiplicity of perspectives beyond their own.

Attend a Local to Global Event Attend an event on campus, virtually, or in the DC area to broaden your global perspective. All Grade Levels
Global Scholars Program A program designed for students in ALL academic disciplines, which involves supplementing their academics with globally-focused coursework and experiences. Incoming Freshman
International Studies Minor Add a minor in International Studies to complement your academic major and broaden your global perspective. All Grade Levels
Domestic Study Away Participate in a short-term faculty-led programs that gives students the opportunity to get hands-on experience in their academic field without having to leave the United States. All Grade Levels
Global Classroom/ Short-term Program Participate in a short-term program abroad, ranging from 1-3 weeks in length. Earn Marymount credits and travel with a Marymount faculty-member and your classmates. All Grade Levels
Global Internship/ Student Teaching Boost your resume and gain practical experience abroad in your career field of interest, all while exploring a new culture.
