Emily Abramaitys
Major: Criminal Justice
Class of 2019
Emily Abramaitys was a Criminal Justice major in the class of 2019. She participated in five study abroad and study away programs during her time at Marymount. She is currently pursuing her masters in Forensic and Legal Pscyhology at Marymount in the hopes of working with the Federal Government afterward.
Stephanie Downing
Major: Criminal Justice
Class of 2019
Stephanie Downing was a Criminal Justice major in the class of 2019. She studied abroad in Spain for a semester and participated in Criminal Justice programs in the UK and in Suffolk, Virginia. After graduation, Stephanie was awarded a Critical Language Scholarship and will be traveling to Jaipur, India to learn Hindi. She currently works for the U.S. Department of Justice in international security.
Oezge Kocak
Major: Political Science
Class of 2020
Oezge (Ozzie) was a Political Science major in the class of 2020 at Marymount University. As an international student from Germany, she had always been interested in learning more about different people, cultures, and countries. The reason why she wanted to be a Global Scholar is because of her desire to broaden her understanding of global issues by engaging in rigorous research and intellectual discussions, as well as acquiring competencies needed to tackle the global challenges of the 21st century.
Katherine Sanchez
Major: Biology
Class of 2019
Katherine Sanchez graduated with a major in Biology and a Quantitive Science minor in 2019. She did a semester abroad in Melbourne, Australia during her sophomore year and participated in the Biology program in Belize the summer of her junior year. Katherine is currently working as an Assistant Scientist in the Immunochemistry Department at PPD in Richmond. In her role, she tests the efficiency and effectiveness of future medicines and vaccines.
