ATI-TEAS
Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) is a testing company that offers standardized entrance testing and comprehensive examinations for schools of nursing in the United States. The Assessment Technologies Institute Test of Essential Academic Skills (ATI-TEAS) is a computer-based test that will need to be proctored at one of ATI’s testing sites.
Who needs to take the exam?
All traditional students must complete the ATI-TEAS prior to progressing to nursing courses. If a student does not reach a satisfactory score for the overall score or science sub section score, reexamination is allowed after a remediation process. Students may not enter nursing courses until satisfactory scores are acheived.
Transfer BSN applicants (not entering freshmen) who do not have a previous bachelor’s degree are required to take the ATI-TEAS to be considered for admission. All Transfer Applicants must have a competitive score on the ATI-TEAS. Students who receive an unsatisfactory score or wish to improve their score may retake the exam one time only.
Accelerated BSN applicants are students who have received a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university. Applicants with a GPA of 2.8 or higher from a U.S. college or university may be exempted from this requirement. Students who receive an unsatisfactory score or wish to improve their score may retake the exam one time only.
