Student Publications
Marymount’s students edit and produce two publications showcasing the best work of their peers.
Magnificat: A Journal of Undergraduate Nonfiction is published once a year, and it features outstanding undergraduate nonfiction writing. Undergraduates from all fields of study, part-time and full-time students, are welcome to submit their work. Magnificat also sponsors an annual essay contest for high-school students, with the winning essays published in that year’s issue of the journal. Each year, the journal is released and winners are celebrated at the Literature & Languages program’s Spring Celebration. Read the 2022 issue now!
blueInk, Marymount’s annual creative journal, publishes poetry, fiction, and visual art. Submissions are open to the entire student community including graduate, undergraduate, part-time and full-time students. Each year, the magazine is launched at the Student Art and Design Exhibition in the spring semester. Students are offered the opportunity and encouraged to read at blueInk sponsored poetry readings.
