Minors for Art Majors

Art majors have many university electives, and you can earn a minor from another department that can help you enter into an arts-related career, or gain acceptance into the graduate program that you need for that career.

The Department of Fine Arts wants to help you find an art-related career. In addition to the pursuing one of the Fine Arts pre-professional career tracks or adding one of our Fine Arts minors, you might also consider a minor from another department to pursue particular degree paths:

Business Administration minor
Social Entrepreneurship minor
Any Art major who wants to pursue a career as a Professional Artist should consider taking business classes. A business minor minors can also lead to a career as an Arts Management Professional, but the department recommends instead its Arts Management degree track.
