Internships & Career Connections

The resources of Washington, D.C. offer Marymount students access to exciting internship opportunities to gain experience, make career connections, and explore career choices. Some internships even lead to job offers upon graduation!

Marymount requires an internship for academic credit at the undergraduate level. MU students, at times, do more than one internship, because of the many possibilities available in the D.C. metropolitan region. And, some students broaden their horizons by doing an internship in another country.

For job opportunities upon graduation, you couldn’t hope for a better location than the nation’s capital – home to the federal government, national and multinational corporations, associations and nonprofits, world-class arts and cultural organizations, leading human service agencies, respected research and health-care organizations, and some of the nation’s top educational systems.

Faculty and alumni have great connections within their fields and readily share their knowledge and expertise with students. And, Marymount’s Center for Career Development helps prepare students for the all-important job search and connects them with potential employers.
