MGT 185 – The International Business Experience (3 credits)
Learn the skills you’ll need to succeed in an increasingly diverse and global business environment. This program provides exposure to international marketing, finance, and economics.
Participate in an engaging business simulation, in which you’ll experience the decision making that goes on in an international business enterprise. This enterprise – Marymount’s "Maasai Made" project – involves marketing the distinctive beaded jewelry of the pastoral Maasai people in a completely online operation. Working in teams and with faculty facilitators, you will be guided through the entire process of running an international business – from capital investments to manufacturing, financial management, and global marketing.
You will also take field trips and meet with business leaders at such places as the International Trade Commission of the Canadian Embassy and the Japanese Embassy.
