Congratulations on taking the first step to making a significant connection on campus here at Marymount! We have tried to make the process of applying for jobs on campus as convenient as possible. Employers post open positions on
Jobs4Saints. This is where you will begin your application.
Students can apply to as many postings as you’d like, but students can only hold one job on campus. Please keep this in mind when interviewing and accepting a position.
Fall 2012 - Spring 2013 Student Employment
Student employment positions for the 2012-2013 school year will be posted on
Jobs4Saints on the following schedule. Federal Work Study (FWS) positions will start to be posted on Monday, July 9th, and Campus Employment (CE) positions will be posted starting Wednesday, August 15th.
Things to think about BEFORE completing your application
Read through the description. If there are any documents that are required (résumé, references, cover letter, etc.) prepare them in advance so you can have them to attach to your application.
-
Remember to be professional. Capitalization, punctuation, and grammar matter!
-
The contact information (e-mail address, phone number and address) you provide will be used to communicate with you, so please keep it current and up-to-date.
After you complete the application process, your eligibility for employment is verified by the Student Employment Office and your application(s) are forwarded to the hiring manager for each position. At that point the hiring process is in their hands. It is recommended to follow up directly with that department to check on the status of your application within 1-2 weeks. By making face-to-face or over the phone contact you will show your interest and improve your chances for making an impact that might lead to being interviewed or hired. If you cannot locate contact information for the office or department on the Marymount Web site, you can always dial ‘0’ from on campus or (703) 522-5200 off campus to reach the switchboard.
