Ready to quit or thinking about quitting smoking? Looking for guidance, information, or reasons to help you kick the habit? Or do you just want to help yourself or a friend who socially smokes?
If so, come join our new “Kicking Butts” smoking cessation group which will be conducted by Elaine McSorley-Gerard, R.N., B.A., N.P.
This free program will not only provide reasons to quit but ways to make it happen:
- Set a realistic quit date
- Learn techniques on how to prepare to quit
- Get tips and support from professionals and peers
- Find ways to decrease stress and deal with cravings
- And much more!
WHEN: Meetings will be held every Tuesday starting January 22, 2013
TIME: 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
WHERE: Student Health Center
WHO: Staff, faculty, and students are all welcome to join the group
Individual counseling sessions available upon request.
This is an ongoing program - join any time without pre-registration. The Student Health Center will also provide smoking cessation kits to any student or faculty/staff member throughout the school year.
