Marymount University believes that health insurance coverage is crucial while students pursue their studies. If a student lacks adequate health insurance, their education could be interrupted or even terminated due to an unexpected illness or injury.
The University sponsored United Healthcare/Student Resources Plan
provides comprehensive coverage for academic year 2014-2015. Plan benefits are compliant with all ACA regulations, and all full-time students are identified for enrollment. However, these students can exercise an online waiver option.
Detailed information about the plan and the waiver option will be available at www.uhcsr.com/marymountu
on July 15, 2014. You can also visit the Student Health Center webpage
Insurance links, as well as Facebook and Blackboard for Waiver deadline information.
You can be assured that we consider our students’ safety, well-being and good health a significant priority.
The Student Health Center (SHC) staff provides diagnosis, treatment, specialist referral, and health education for undergraduate and graduate students who reside in Marymount housing both on and off campus, and all commuter athletes. SHC services for are funded by room and board fees.
The SHC strives to educate Marymount students about healthy living protocols. We advocate preventative health care and strongly encourage students to participate in wellness initiatives. In emergency situations on campus, the staff also serves commuter students. RNs staff the center during the fall and spring semesters, and University physicians schedule regular clinic hours.
