The Lodge

The Lodge is one of two original buildings on Marymount’s campus, dating from the early 1900s. At that time, the property, which included the Main House and Lodge, was a private residence – home to Admiral Presley M. Rixey, naval surgeon general and personal physician to Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and William McKinley. The Lodge served as the Rixeys’ guest cottage.

Today, this fieldstone building houses Campus Ministry, the Office of Student Activities, the Student Government Association, the Banner student newspaper, meeting rooms, and the commuter lounge, with a full kitchen for student use.
