After receiving his doctoral degree, Dr. Wayne Lesko spent two years with the University of Maryland’s European Division, and then a year at College Park, before joining Marymount in 1981 as the chair of the Psychology Department.
In 1989 Dr. Lesko became the associate dean of the School of Education and Human Services, and in 1998 he was selected as the dean of the School. He rejoined the full-time faculty in 2012. Over the years, Dr. Lesko has taught a variety of courses and helped to expand the department with increased enrollments and offerings. For example, the Counseling and Forensic Psychology programs were both outgrowths of the undergraduate Psychology program.
Dr. Lesko has published and presented on a variety of topics over the years. His book, Readings in Social Psychology: General, Classic, and Contemporary Selections, is now in its eighth edition.
