For Marvin, a big part of the Marymount experience is the connections he has made with faculty and fellow students. He points out, “Through my experience at Marymount, I have formed many great enduring relationships with my professors. I have also developed great friendships with people from all around the world. This has allowed me to become familiar with other cultures and has helped me expand my horizons by gaining a betting understanding of the world around me.” Marvin is active both on and off campus. He is the founder and president of Marymount’s Mixed Martial Arts Club. What free time he has is devoted to volunteer work. Marvin tutors children in math and science courses at the elementary and middle school level, and he also volunteers regularly at an assisted living facility. After graduation, he plans to attend medical school with the goal of becoming a surgeon.
