Dr. Monica Robbers has worked in and taught in the fields of criminal justice and sociology since 1999. Dr. Robbers' specialty research and teaching areas are applied research methods and juvenile justice. She serves as an expert to the Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice, is a member of the Federal Juvenile Justice Census data collection team, and is an advisor to the Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) on program evaluation.
Dr. Robbers has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, including articles addressing the "CSI effect" on criminal trials, sex offender registration, strain-induced predictors of delinquency, risk factors for delinquency among teenage parents, and best practices for youth specialty courts.
