Dr. Pamela Moreno is part of the leadership team for the Center for Teaching and Learning, where she serves as associate dean of the First-Year Experience. In this capacity, she oversees academic activities associated with incoming students to ensure a successful transition to college life. She coordinates the seminar classes, DISCOVER 101 First-Year Seminar and DISCOVER 201 Transfer Student Experience, which introduce students to active learning and student engagement.
She has been a member of Marymount's faculty since 2005. With over 24 years of experience as a professional registered nurse, Dr. Moreno has expertise in clinical nursing, management, staff development and nursing education.
In 2008, Dr. Moreno was nominated for the Robert A. Draghi Outstanding Faculty Award and was the recipient of the School of Health Profession’s Faculty Award for Collegiality. Dr. Moreno is also a 2007 Fellow of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing’s Leadership for Academic Nursing program. She is a past recipient of the Colorado Graduate Fellowship Award.
She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and the Pi Lambda Theta International Honor Society and Professional Association in Education.
