Dr. Will Heuett joined Marymount's Mathematics Department in fall 2010. Before joining the University, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Laboratory of Biological Modeling at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He continues to conduct research at NIH as a special volunteer.
Dr. Heuett's research is in the field of mathematical biology, and it relates to common matters such as weight change, exercise, and diabetes. He investigates the dynamics and regulation of human metabolism using an array of mathematical techniques. His research has been presented at national and international conferences and published in multiple journals. Students who are interested in engaging in mathematical biology research are encouraged to contact Dr. Heuett.
Dr. Heuett is a 2010 fellow of Project NExT, which is a national professional-development program for junior faculty in the mathematical sciences.
