Men’s Basketball Falls in Season Finale
Frostburg, Md. – Marymount University’s men’s basketball team fell 66-61 at Frostburg State in its season finale on Wednesday night. The Saints close out the year 7-18 overall and 2-10 in Capital Athletic Conference play.
Reed Scott posted a double-double to lead the Saints with a game-high 24 points and 12 rebounds. Jesse Kondau added 11 points for the Blue & White.
JC Hoellich chipped in nine points while Colin Burkhart added eight rebounds coming off the bench.
A back-and-forth affair, the game saw six ties and seven lead changes. A late run by the Bobcats in the final minutes of the game pushed the advantage into the home team’s favor as FSU closed the game out on the free throw line.
Kwambina Coker led Frostburg State with 16 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double.
Marymount closes out the year with seven wins, its most victories since the 2009-10 campaign.
