Frederick, Md. – Marymount University’s men’s soccer team earned its first Capital Athletic Conference win of the season with a 1-0 shutout on the road at Hood on Wednesday afternoon. The victory snaps a four-game winless-streak and puts the Saints in a five-way tie for third place in the CAC standings.
After a scoreless opening frame, Dannish Decardi-Nelson put the lone goal on the board in the 60th minute with an assist from Meceal Getachew. Marymount (3-6-3, 1-1-2 CAC) outshot the Blazers 20-2, including a barrage of 14 attempts in the second half.
