Tuesday, September 13, 2011

Oxford, Ohio – Marymount University women’s lacrosse players Lori Renner and Katie Dean were named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coach’s Association Academic Honor Roll, as announced on Monday. The pair are two of just 219 NCAA Division III student-athletes to earn the honor.

As a team, the Saints were also previously recognized as an IWLCA Academic Squad, the first such award for MU in program history.

Renner graduated from Marymount in May of 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She was a four-year letterwinner with the Saints and also played three seasons of volleyball. Throughout her career, Renner was named to the Capital Athletic Conference All-Academic Team every year.

Dean played one season with the Saints as she worked towards her Master of Science in Nursing where she graduates in December. She was also tabbed CAC All-Academic her lone year at Marymount.
