Arlington, Va. – Marymount University’s men’s soccer team closed out its 2011 season with a 3-0 loss to visiting Frostburg State on Tuesday night. The Saints wrap up the year 4-10-3 overall and 1-5-2 in league play.
Frostburg State took the early lead in the sixth minute and didn’t look back. Although the final score was firmly in the Bobcats favor, possession for most of the game belonged to the Saints as they outshot their guests 18-10 and spent most of the game in the offensive zone.
Dannish Decardi-Nelson led the Saints with five shots while Kjell Crook added three. Ten different MU players recorded attempts in the loss.
The game was the final collegiate contest for seniors Juan Aguilar, Santos Cerda, Crooke, Meceal Getachew, Eric Kamta, Chris Rodriguez and Carlos Salinas.
