Women’s Volleyball Drops First CAC Match of Season
Salisbury, Md. – Marymount University’s women’s volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-17) on the road at Salisbury in Capital Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night. The Saints drop to 16-9 overall, 3-1 in league play, for their first CAC loss of the season.
Reigning CAC Player of the Week Morgan McAlpin led the Saints with nine kills while Emileigh Rettig added eight and both Erin Allison and Emily Shultis chipped in six. Brianne Fitzpatrick paced the offense with 25 assists.
Defensively, Rettig collected 15 digs with Allison adding 11 and Cassidie Watson 10. McAlpin was credited with three blocks while Allison, Johanna Hummel and Shultis all added a pair.
