Arlington, Va. – Marymount University senior guard Amanda Billy collected another accolade after being named the Scoutware/D3Hoops.com Women’s Basketball Team of the Week.
Billy tied the Saints program record for points in a game with 42 and broke her own single-game record with 11 three-pointers in a consolation game victory over Staten Island at the CUA/Fairfield Inn Holiday Tournament over the weekend. She collected All-Tournament honors and was also named the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week for her efforts.
On the week, Billy averaged 25.7 points 4.3 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game while shooting 44.1% from the floor. She nailed 19 three-pointers over the span, including the record 11 against CSI, and shot at a 43.2 percent clip from downtown.
Marymount (5-5) returns to action on Wednesday as it hosts CAC league-leader St. Mary’s (Md.) to the Verizon Sports Arena at 6 p.m.
