Men’s Cross Country Finishes 7th at CAC Championships, Women Place 8th

York, Pa. – Marymount University’s cross country teams closed out the 2011 regular season at the Capital Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday. The Saints men’s team finished in 7th place while the women were 8th.

With the men, Mark Flores was the top performer for the Saints finishing 54th with a time of 32:15.90 in the 8K course. Tam Nguyen was next in 64th place at 33:09.07.

Six spots separated Marymount’s next three scorers. Udit Bhatnagar was 72nd at 34:41.70, Benard Korinko was 75th with a time of 34:57.15 and Alexi McHugh placed 78th at 35:20.54. Rounding out the Saints’ runners, Kevin Farmer was 88th with a time of 37:49.37.

On the women’s side, Megan McMinn was the Saints’ top finisher for the sixth-straight meet, finsishing 54th with a time of 29:55.90 in the 6K event. Alondra Hall was 76th at 34:20.52 and Summer Penrose was right behind her at 34:50.05.

Rounding out the Saints runners, Rachael Raske was 84th at 37:48.69 and Karen Nevin placed 86th at 37:58.45.
