Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Stevenson

Owings Mills, Md. – Marymount University’s women’s lacrosse team fell to Stevenson 21-6 in Capital Athletic Conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

Tancy Weatherford led the Saints (3-5, 0-2 CAC) with three goals while Chelsea Ritter added two. Stephanie Flood contributed the other goal for MU and Lori Renner logged an assist.

Michelle McCormick and Cecilia Pasquale led the Saints with four ground balls each.

Marymount jumped on the board first with Flood’s goal four minutes in and led 2-1 after six minutes of play on Ritter’s first goal. Stevenson (6-3, 3-1, CAC) took over from there, scoring 11 unanswered goals to put the game away.

Erika Dommes collected 12 saves in goal for the Saints in the loss.

Megan Weiss, Lisa Baker, Laura Grammer and Sam Parker each scored three goals for the Mustangs.

Marymount returns to action on Saturday at Frostburg State.
