Women’s Volleyball Wins Seventh-Straight
Westminster, Md. – Marymount University’s women’s volleyball team won its seventh-straight match with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 27-25) victory on the road at McDaniel on Wednesday night. The Saints improve to 15-4 on the season and have won 14 of their last 15 contests.
Jenn Forbes led the Saints with nine kills while hitting at a .368 clip. Emily Shultis added eight kills and hit .429 while Erin Allison and Morgan McAlpin both chipped in seven kills.
Defensively, Michelle McCormick led all players with 17 digs. Forbes earned three blocks, including two solo rejections, while Allison and McAlpin both added a pair.
Marymount returns to action this weekend as it takes part in the Worthington Classic, hosted by former Capital Athletic Conference foe Gallaudet. The Saints open the tournament on Friday against the host Bison and Trine before facing Wheaton on Saturday in an effort to reach the championship match later that day.
