David Green Named Executive Director of Marymount’s Reston Center

David Green of Falls Church, Virginia, has joined Marymount as executive director of the University’s Reston Center. He is responsible for management of the Center, which primarily serves adult learners who are looking to advance in their field or change careers. He will oversee outreach to businesses, government agencies, community organizations, and individuals throughout the Washington metropolitan area to facilitate the development and delivery of educational programs that meet specific needs.

Green stated, “I’m excited about extending the reach of Marymount’s cutting-edge programs and faculty in the region, and I look forward to developing more corporate alliances to bring their employees specially tailored programs.” He added, “The greater Washington region requires a well-educated, skilled workforce, and Marymount is committed to ensuring that the region remains competitive.”

Previously, David Green served as the director of Scholarship Administration, Outreach and Recruitment for the Institute of International Education and has extensive experience working in higher education. He has worked in admissions and student recruitment at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, as well as the University of Miami, where he also developed university-corporate partnerships.

Green holds a B.S. from Northeastern University and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas, Dallas. He is a member of NAFSA: The Association of International Educators and the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).

Marymount University’s Reston Center is located at 1861 Wiehle Avenue, just off exit 13 of the Dulles Toll Road. The center’s mission is to provide undergraduate and graduate programs that help adult learners further their education and achieve their personal and professional goals.

Current programs offered through Marymount’s Reston Center include:
B.A. in Interior Design (for those with an associate degree in the field)
B.S. in Health Information Management
Post baccalaureate certificate in Health Information Technology

M.B.A., plus Nonprofit Management track
M.A. in Human Resource Management
M.S. in Health Care Management
M.Ed. in Elementary or Secondary Education
Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management

Through the Reston Center, Marymount also partners with businesses, government agencies, and organizations to offer tailored programs on site for employees.
