Women’s Soccer Falls at York
York, Pa. – Marymount University’s women’s soccer team dropped a 3-1 Capital Athletic Conference game on the road at York (Pa.) on Tuesday. The Saints fall to 4-7 overall and 2-4 in CAC action.
York (5-8-1, 5-2 CAC) took an early lead with a goal in the 30th minute. The Spartans then added another two second half goals to go up 3-0 before Marymount avoided the shutout with a late score in the 89th minute.
Paige Pierson tallied the Saints’ lone goal with 98 seconds to play after Stephanie Flood crossed a ball from the right side to the middle of the field for Pierson to finish.
Marymount returns to action on Friday, October 15, against Greensboro at Trinity College in Washington, D.C.
