Alternative Spring Break 2011

Saturday, April 30, 2011
This April’s Alternative Spring Break took 42 Marymount students and eight staff members to two locations to perform service projects. One group traveled to Lima, Peru, where they helped out in schools, an orphanage, and community centers; the other group went to Johnson City, Tennessee to assist economically disadvantaged residents with a variety of home repairs.

Prayer and reflection are integral parts of the Alternative Spring Break experience. This year’s groups began and ended each day of service with student-led prayers and discussion and shared in the daily celebration of Mass.
