Cross Country’s Melissa Teeple and Elizabeth Long Tabbed All-CAC

York, Pa. – Marymount University freshmen Melissa Teeple and Elizabeth Long were both named to the All-Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Team, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. Teeple earned first team honors after finishing fifth overall at the CAC Championships while Long garnered second team honors with a 12th place showing.

Teeple finished in fifth place for the Saints with a time of 22:45.30, earning her only the second First Team All-CAC accolade in program history while Long garnered Second Team recognition with her 12th-place finish in 23:19.10. The pair is the first time in program history that two Saints collected All-CAC honors in the same season.

As a team, the Saints finished in fourth place at the CAC Championships, the best finish in program history at the event.

Teeple and Long return to action on November 16th at the NCAA South/Southeast Regionals in Newport News, Va.
