Men’s Soccer Stymied by #8 York
Arlington, Va. – Marymount University’s men’s soccer team took on #8 York (Pa.) Saturday afternoon, falling 4-0 to its CAC counterpart. The Saints drop to 4-10 overall and 0-4 in league play.
Four different Saints tallied shots on target throughout the contest, but the Spartan defense proved impenetrable.
York posted three goals in the opening frame and added its fourth and final strike in the 64th minute.
Logan Cropper and Kurt Michaels each served a half between the pipes. Cropper collected seven saves in his first-half effort, while Michaels recorded two saves in the final frame.
Marymount returns to action on Wednesday as it hosts CAC opponent Salisbury. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. and fans can follow the action live by logging on to www.marymount.edu/athletics/mSoccer and selecting the “live stats” link.
