Dover, Del. – Marymount University’s men’s soccer team picked up another tie in the Capital Athletic Conference standings with a scoreless 0-0 draw at Wesley on Saturday afternoon. The Saints and Wolverines combined for 37 shots on the day without finding the back of the net.
Sophomore goalkeeper Mike Madigan put together another solid performance for MU (2-3-3, 0-0-2 CAC), hauling in 12 saves in the tie. He moves to 2-2-3 on the season between the pipes.
Offensively, the Saints were outshot by their hosts in regulation 18-10 but put on the heat in overtime, combining for six shots compared to Wesley’s (4-3-4, 1-0-3 CAC) three in extra frames. Senior Kjell Crooke paced Marymount with five shots, including a pair on goal, while freshman George Delgado added four with two on target as well.
With no rest for the weary, Marymount returns to action on Sunday as it hosts Methodist in non-conference play.
